More about me

Before becoming a therapist, I spent many years as a performer and comedian, which means I know a thing or two about using humour to navigate pain, connect with others, and sometimes, keep ourselves afloat. During that time, I was also deep in my own therapeutic journey: working closely with my therapist to face and heal from past traumas of my own.

Therapy changed my life. It gave me the space to understand myself, to question old beliefs, to unpack self-blame, and to learn how to live with more intention, compassion, and choice. That experience of feeling seen, supported, and empowered lit a fire in me to help others find that same kind of healing.

Today, as a trauma-informed therapist, I bring all of that lived experience into the room, along with deep empathy, curiosity, and yes, a healthy dose of humour when it fits. I work collaboratively with clients who are navigating major life transitions, processing past trauma, or reckoning with complex family relationships and a sense of not quite fitting the mold.

My approach is warm, direct, and relational. I believe that healing happens when we feel safe enough to be real, and when we can start to see ourselves not as problems to be fixed, but as people worthy of care, connection, and joy.

Education

I graduated with a BFA in Acting degree from The University of Windsor (2014)

Then I began my psychotherapy training in 2020, where I graduated with my diploma from The Ontario Psychotherapy and Counselling College in June of 2025 (A 5-year program)

I am now licensed with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), and I am also a member of the Canadian Association for Psychodynamic Therapy (CAPT).

I have since completed a 6-part certificate training on couples therapy in 2025 with John M. Gottman, PhD, and Julie Schwartz Gottman, PhD.

My focus and goals are to continue building upon my learning and to remain current and up to date with educational workshops and professional development, to support my clients and their specific needs.
